Athens, GA – May 25, 2025 The historic University of Georgia Golf Course hosted a thrilling weekend of junior golf as the SJGT rolled into town for the annual SJGT UGA Classic. Some of the region’s top junior talent battled the undulating greens and tight fairways of this iconic layout, with several players making a strong case for collegiate attention thanks to elite performances, detailed FlightScope data, and enhanced visibility through GolfKast recruiting packages.
Pate fired rounds of 68-71 (-3) to claim the Boys 16–19 division. Pate's consistency off the tee tee and clutch putting stood out across both rounds. According to FlightScope data, Pate averaged 288 yards off the tee with a 67% fairway hit rate and a 2.2 strokes gained total over the field. “Ball-striking has been the focus of my training,” Pate said. “Seeing it validated in the FlightScope numbers gives me confidence moving into the summer.”
Claire Bradford continued her hot streak with rounds of 69-78(+3) to secure the Girls 15–19 title. She led the field in greens in regulation (77%) and posted the event’s top short-game performance with just 18 putts per round. Her FlightScope data highlighted an exceptional carry distance of 232 yards with her driver and elite spin control with short irons—key to navigating UGA’s firm greens.
Collin Bradford carded a gritty 3 under par (70-69) to win the 14–15 division. His aggressive approach play stood out, gaining with approach shots alone, according to his GolfKast profile. Bradford’s FlightScope session revealed a consistent Ball Carry average of 301.5 with his driver and a smash factor of 1.48, suggesting elite efficiency.
Addison Peebles’s steady play earned her the win at Even Par overall. Her GolfKast recruiting package featured real-time video highlights and metrics that are already attracting coaches attention. Chen’s data showed a swing speed of 83.7 mph, but more importantly, her ability to repeat her motion—reflected in a swing path variance 3.3L degree—underscored her technical consistency.
