A new level of athlete-focused media coverage is coming to South Carolina track and field as Coach O Track, MAX SPEED Performance & Fitness, and GKLive.TV come together for the Blaze MAX SPEED Invitational on June 6th in Columbia, South Carolina.

Co-hosted by Coach Earl Chestnut, Founder of MAX SPEED Performance & Fitness, the event will bring together talented athletes from across the region for a day centered around speed, competition, development, and exposure. With GKLive.TV providing media coverage and storytelling throughout the event, the Invitational represents another major step toward creating a more player-centric experience in amateur sports.

For years, GKLive.TV has covered a variety of amateur sports while building a reputation for athlete-driven storytelling, live event coverage, and digital media innovation. The Blaze MAX SPEED Invitational continues that mission by combining elite competition with modern media coverage designed to highlight the athletes both on and off the track.

“This is about more than timing races and posting results,” said James Brady of GKLive.TV and GKZiD. “We want athletes to feel recognized. We want families to have memories. We want coaches and programs to have content they can share proudly. Coach O and Coach Earl both understand the importance of creating opportunities and visibility for young athletes.”

A Partnership Focused on Athletes

Coach O Track has quickly built a reputation for developing athletes while creating a positive and energetic culture around the sport. Combined with the training philosophy and leadership of Coach Earl Chestnut and MAX SPEED Performance & Fitness, the event is expected to showcase some of the region’s rising track and field talent.

The partnership with GKLive.TV adds another layer to the experience through:

  • Live event coverage
  • Athlete spotlight features
  • Social media highlight clips
  • Behind-the-scenes content
  • Interviews and storytelling
  • Promotional media for athletes and programs
  • Integration opportunities with the GKZiD MeDia Locker platform

The goal is simple: create an atmosphere where athletes feel celebrated while giving families, coaches, and supporters a professional-level media experience.

“Our athletes put in too much work not to have these moments captured,” said Coach O. “GKLive.TV understands where sports media is headed and how important exposure and storytelling have become for young athletes today.”

Coach Earl Chestnut echoed that excitement.

“The Blaze MAX SPEED Invitational is about pushing athletes to compete at a high level while building confidence and opportunity,” Chestnut said. “Partnering with organizations that truly care about athlete development and visibility makes this event even more special.”

Introducing the MeDia Locker Experience

One of the unique additions surrounding the Blaze MAX SPEED Invitational will be the growing integration of the GKZiD MeDia Locker, a player-centric digital media platform designed to help athletes organize and share their sports identity.

The MeDia Locker concept allows athletes to eventually house:

  • Highlight videos
  • Photos
  • Live stream clips
  • Interviews
  • Social media content
  • Recruiting media
  • Event memories

The platform is designed to give athletes a modern digital home for their sports journey while simplifying how families and coaches access media content.

“This generation lives through digital media,” Brady added. “The MeDia Locker is designed to give athletes ownership of their content and identity in a way that feels modern, organized, and easy to share.”

More Than Just a Track Meet

The Blaze MAX SPEED Invitational is expected to feature a high-energy atmosphere focused not only on competition, but also on community, culture, and athlete engagement.

GKLive.TV’s coverage plans include:

  • Dynamic sprint and field event coverage
  • Warmup and preparation footage
  • Athlete interviews
  • Team interactions
  • Coach perspectives
  • Crowd and event atmosphere
  • Short-form social media storytelling

The objective is to create the kind of media environment typically seen at collegiate and professional events while keeping the focus on the athletes themselves.

As amateur sports continue to evolve, partnerships like this are helping redefine what youth and developmental sports experiences can look like.

The June 6th Blaze MAX SPEED Invitational is not simply another event on the calendar — it represents a growing movement toward athlete-centered media, exposure, and storytelling.

For Coach O Track, MAX SPEED Performance & Fitness, and GKLive.TV, this is only the beginning.
