SPARTANBURG, S.C. — August 2026 — One of America's most prestigious junior golf championships is preparing to enter a new era of media coverage.
The 2026 Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational (BCJI), scheduled for October 23–25, 2026, at the Country Club of Spartanburg, will be broadcast live for the first time in tournament history through a partnership with GKLive.TV.
"We are incredibly excited to team up with GKLive.TV to bring the Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational to a global audience," said Doug Smith, Chairman of Board of Directors for the Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational. "Our mission has always been to showcase the premier talent in junior golf. Partnering with GKLive.TV allows us to elevate the tournament experience, giving families, college coaches, and golf fans everywhere a front row seat to watch these exceptional junior golfers compete."
GKLive.TV will provide live coverage of the final two rounds, giving families, golf fans, coaches, college recruiters and supporters around the world the opportunity to follow one of junior golf's premier championships. “The Bobby Chapman deserves more than simply putting cameras on the golf course,” said James Brady, Managing Partner of GKLive.TV. “There are incredible stories here — the history of the championship, the people who built it and, most importantly, the young athletes competing today. Our goal is to bring those stories to life through a high-quality live broadcast that allows viewers around the world to experience this championship.”
Established in 1995, the Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious junior golf tournaments in the country, having hosted champions who have gone on to compete on the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR. Notable alumni include Lucas Glover, Bill Haas, Brian Harman, William McGirt, Karl Vilips, and the most recent PGA TOUR winner, Jacob Bridgeman, who have collectively amassed multiple PGA TOUR victories and major championships. The tournament is known not only for its competitive excellence, but also for its tradition of Southern hospitality extended to players and their families.
In addition to its competitive prominence, the Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational plays a significant role in supporting South Carolina high school graduates as they pursue higher education through the Bobby Chapman Junior Golf Foundation Scholarship. Each year, 10 South Carolina high school graduates are awarded scholarships, honoring the legacy of Robert H. (Bobby) Chapman, Jr., an avid amateur golfer and distinguished citizen of Spartanburg, South Carolina. In addition to scholarships, the Foundation is also a major supporter of statewide junior golf initiatives through its partnership with the South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation. Since its establishment, the Foundation has awarded more than $315,000 in higher education scholarships and support for junior golf initiatives, reinforcing the Invitational’s long-standing commitment to the game both on and off the course.
